"I have been a client of Somerset Veterinary Hospital since 2001. In those 23 years I have always been very happy with the care given to all of my cats and dogs. If any problems arose, I was given options for the care including a tertiary institution. Many of my pets crossed over the rainbow bridge and the vets and staff always have been sensitive to me and my pets needs and sorrow.
The hospital has always been accommodating to new animals that we rescued. they test them as quickly as possible for any diseases that would prevent the rescue from joining the pack. Luckily only one rescue could not join the pack. The hospital and staff were able to get him healthy enough to be adopted by someone who could have an animal with a communicable disease."

"My pup got ill on Sunday and my regular vet was not available. My angels were shining down upon me with I was directed to call Dr. Penny's office. Jess returned my call and she had me bring Gabbie out right away. When I arrived I was treated with urgency and my Gab received the best care. What was one emergency visit turning into a summer of emergency visits. We finally got Gabbie on a good path and my precious Dolly became ill. Again, they got Dolly in quickly that same day. I wasn't prepared for the news I received. I took her home and had really hard decisions to make. Dr. Penny called me the next day and we discussed our options. I asked her to guide me in doing what I could to help her without being separated from her. She gave me a care plan and the following week her numbers had improved considerably and continued to improve the following week. We had a couple scary moments and more emergency visits. I will never forget how Dr. Penny sat with me in the waiting room and encouraged me. Gave me an app to measure Dolly's heart rate and breathing. Several days later, my little girl's body just couldn't fight anymore. I will never forget the kindness everyone at the practice showed me during that devastating time.
Jess and Crystal both helped me handle emergency visits for each of my girls. The many follow up calls from the staff (Bri and Danielle) to check and see how the girls were doing after visits brought reassurance that we were a team working for my girls. At times, I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't heard any of the staff's (Heather, Tara, Deb) kind, caring voices on the other end of the phone. Every time I called (and I called a lot), I was treated with respect and kindness. I drive an hour and pass many vet's offices on my way to Dr. Penny's office. Many people as me why. My "why" is simple - I know my babies are getting the best care. I know the entire team loves what they do and it shows."
